Greetings Spring 2022 Students! My name is Doug Liscio and I will be teaching the AP - United States History course this Spring of 2022. This is my fourth year at Harrison High School and my 14th year teaching in Cobb County (19th year teaching overall). I am looking forward to a very exciting semester and having an opportunity to serve Harrison students who have enrolled in the AP - U.S. History course! Students in the Spring 2022 class should sign up to receive Remind Messaging (click on the link below to assess the Remind sign-up code on the PDF). apush_-_spring_2022_-_mr._liscio_-_periods_1.2.3.pdf As students prepare for the spring semester, they should go ahead and begin looking at the following websites to get familiar with the various resources that will be used throughout the semester (see below). These websites will be used in preparation for the AP United States History course assessments throughout the semester and AP - United States History Exam (scheduled for Friday, May 6, 2022). Pre-Course READING The "Pre-Course Reading" for students will be Presidential Courage by Michael Beschloss (see book details below). Students complete assessments from the Presidential Courage beginning about Week #3, but students should go ahead and acquire a copy (new or used). As you begin reading the book, each of the nine presidents have four chapters each. In order to better prepared for each the assessments, here is a list of questions to use as you complete each chapter: Identify the following in preparing for the Presidential Courage assessments:
